You will likely have numerous queries and questions. There is much to consider when investing in an estate agency franchise. The best thing to do is to contact us and we will establish if there is synergy between us.  In the meantime, here are a few frequently asked questions.

What is the first step to becoming a Your Move Franchisee?

Email Lee who is one of our Franchising Partnerships Team [email protected] and we will have an initial exploratory conversation to establish some key information to understand if a Your Move franchise is a good fit for you.

If both parties decide to proceed we will then hold a discovery session where we will gather your goals and objectives, take you through the requirements, discuss timelines and the next steps.

Do I need previous estate or letting agency experience to become a Your Move franchise

The world of Estate and Letting Agencies is complex so previous experience is preferred. If you do not have previous estate agency experience we would advise you employ someone with experience a long with a series of training courses.

Are single and multi-branch opportunities available?

This can be discussed during our discovery session

Can I own more than one LSL franchise?

We prefer for you to be familiar with the processes & methodology of the business first but actively support Partners that are looking to grow into other territories or by acquisition.

How big is my franchise territory?

That depends on demographics. We usually have a minimum number of ‘chimney pots’ in an area. This generally means that the rural territories are larger in area & the urban ones smaller.

What are the initial franchise costs and fees

The costs and fees are:

  • An initial set up fee for your exclusive territory
  • Ongoing royalty fee

How can I find out more about the fees?

We are more than happy to talk you through the fees. Specific set up costs will vary depending on the size of your exclusive territory. These can be discussed in our initial exploratory conversation and then in more details in the discovery session.

How long does the application process take?

It's important for us to get to know more about you - to ensure you're a good fit for our network - but also so that we can be sure that we've answered all your questions and you understand what's involved. That initial discovery session is key to defining the timeline, so once we have a clear understanding of your requirements, we can provide you with a more specific timeline for your needs.

Can I transfer my existing estate agency branch to a Your Move franchise?

This is possible and there could be considerable benefits to doing so including possible savings, technology and marketing. We’d be happy to discuss any existing estate agency businesses looking to switch to a franchise model.

How to showcase your business

Consider how you are going to advertise your business for sale, ensure you list it on business for sale sites, trade news sites/industry publications and online.

Create a business information document with details of all the financial elements, strengths, market share analysis, brand awareness and client loyalty.
